INFORMATION
he belongs to a family of professional wrestlers, yet he chose bodybuilding over wrestling. For Mahendra Pagade it was a decision he never regrets. He took up bodybuilding professionally since I was passionate about it. Three generations of my family have been professional wrestlers and I could have easily taken up wrestling, but I pursued my passion,”towards body building said pagade
Pagade was conferred with Shiv Chhatrapati award in 2016, highest sporting honour for players of Maharashtra for his performance at the Amateur Olympia 2015 held in Hong Kong wherein he settled for bronze medal. Training under the watchful eyes of coach Sudeep Navale, Pagade is currently consuming 300 grams of protein and 250 grams of carbohydrate daily to maintain the muscle mass and compete in 100kg Senior Men’s Bodybuilding category
“We will be gunning for the title for sure. Mahendra is weighing exactly 100kgs and is carrying proportionate muscle mass required to win the title.
He is way ahead of the competitions when it comes to the lower body, that’s the reason he is the only athlete representing India in upto 100kg weight category, ”
